What to do in case of:

    Washer and Dryer

  • Dishwasher: leaks
  • First of all, turn off the main water supply valve. This will prevent it from further damaging your house and other appliances. DO NOT touch the appliance or go near leaking water. Turn off the circuit breakers before touching your appliance! Check the hose for cracks.

  • Dryer: no heat
  • Check to make sure that the appliance is properly and firmly plugged in and that the cord, the plug, and the outlet are working properly. To determine whether an outlet is working, test it with a voltage tester or check to make sure the fuses and/or circuit breakers that control the circuit have not blown or tripped. There may be more than one electrical entrance panel for your home. Check for blown fuses or tripped circuit breakers at both the main panel and the separate panel. If the appliance uses gas, check to make sure it is receiving an adequate supply.

  • Front Loader Washer: doesn't drain
  • Make sure that your filter (pump filter) is not clogged. This is the main reason why front loaders don't dry!
